An introduction to wave maps

Abstract: In this talk, I will give a short survey to the theory of wave maps. Then I would like to give a brief proof of the theory by Christodoulou about the spherically symmetric wave maps from a Lorentzian manifold of 2+1 dimension to a Riemannian manifold satisfies some conditions.
