CT image reconstruction from incomplete data, such as sparse views and limited angle reconstruction, is an important and challenging problem in medical imaging. In this talk, I will give a simple introduction to the mathematical background of CT imaging. Then I will present our new work on the deep convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture to reconstruct CT images. Numerical experiments are shown to demonstrate the performance on incomplete data medical CT image reconstruction.
