Non-commutative Mirror Symmetry
Speaker(s): Dr. Zhan Li (BICMR)
Time: 14:00-15:00 May 9, 2016
Venue: Room 9, Quan Zhai, BICMR
In this talk, I would like to explain to my colleagues of all fields of what I had done recently (joint with Lev Borisov): constructing mirror symmetry with non-commutative varieties. The motivation is to unify existing sporadic such examples in the frame work of double mirrors. I will then explain why such noncommutative varieties are derived equivalent. Although the formal construction and the rigorous proofs are quite subtle, they can be explained in a very simple way. Besides, I will run an example throughout the talk which only require primary school math. Toric varieties will be explained and open problems will be addressed.
