Abstract: In this talk we will discuss Schmidt games. A winning set for Schmidt games played on a metric space is large in the following sense: it is dense, has full Hausdorff dimension, and is stable under countable intersections. We will apply Schmidt games to show that the set of points with nondense orbit under certain dynamical systems is winning and hence has full Hausdorff dimension.
