Abstract: In this talk, we will go over some recent progress on the mass angular-momentum inequality in Mathematical General Relativity. We will mainly survey two new improvements. The first one is a joint work with R. Schoen. We considered the axisymmetric, maximal, asymptotically flat vacuum and electro-vacuum data of Einstein equations. We improved the previous results to the general decay conditions, and gave a lower bound of the gap between mass and augular-momentum by an L^{6} norm bound between the given data and the corresponding Extreme Kerr data. In the second work, we improved the mass angular-momentum inequality to axisymmetric, asymptotically flat vacuum data with small trace. We used the perturbation method together with boost evolution solution of the vacuum Einstein equations.
