Abstract:Donaldson proved that if a polarized manifold (X,L) has constant scalar curvature Kahler metrics in c_1(L) and its automorphism group Aut(X,L) is discrete, (X,L) is asymptotically Chow stable. In this talk, I will show an example of Kahler-Einstein toric Fano manifold X such that (X, -K_X) is asymptotically Chow unstable. This implies that Donaldson's result does not hold in the case where automorphism group is not discrete. This is joint work with Hajime Ono and Yuji Sano.
