Abstract: In this talk, we firstly state some comparison theorems on smooth metric measure spaces via the Bakry-Emery curvature. We also give the estimates for the geometric quantities of gradient Ricci solitons and quasi Einstein metrics, such as, the scalar curvature, the bottom spectrum, the diameter of the manifold and the growth of the potential function, etc. In the last section of this talk we consider the classification questions on gradient quasi Einstein metrics.
