We explain homological algebraic aspects of renormalization group flow. A two-dimensional chiral analogue of the algebraic index theorem is investigated via the theory of chiral algebras. We construct a trace map on the elliptic chiral homology, and explain a chiral analogue of Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg theorem. We also explain its relation with the holomorphic anomaly equation.
