Abstract: In this lecture series, we discuss a conjecture of Kawaguchi and Silverman about arithmetic degrees of dominant rational self-maps defined over number fields. Some new results and an application to the existence of Zariski dense orbits will be given. This is based on joint work with Yohsuke Matsuzawa.
