Abstract: 

This is a mini-course on the geometry of flag varieties. Topics include schubert varieties, Bott-Samelson resolution, Cohomology of line bundles, Springer resolutions. Depending on the schudule, additional topics may include D-modules on flag variety, Beilinson-Berstern localization, Hecke algebras and applications to representation theory.
