Abstract: An isolated singularity of a bounded holomorphic function is removable. This is the classical Riemann's theorem in complex analysis of one variable. Gromov's theorems on removal of singularities of pseudo-holomorphic curves are far-reaching extensions of Riemann's theorem.
Further extensions, which are also due to Gromov, are theorems on removal of singularities on the boundaries of pseudo-holomorphic curves. In this talk, we shall present a new and geometric proof of such theorems on boundary singularities. This is a joint work with Urs Fuchs.
