On the local equation and desingularization of the genus one stable maps

Abstract: In A.Zinger's computation of the genus one Gromov-Witten invariants of Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces, a key step is the description of the local structure and the desingularization of the genus one stable maps into the projective spaces by Vakil and Zinger. I will talk about the approach of Yi Hu and Jun Li on this topic, and show that the smoothable condition of the genus one stable maps can be drived from their results.
