q de Rham cohomology is a new cohomology theory for algebraic varieties uncovered by Peter Scholze. It is a deformation of de Rham cohomology, and has the surprising feature of interpolating p-adic Hodge theory for different p. I will explain the global picture of known and unknown cohomology theories envisioned by Scholze, and my work on settling some conjectures on the extra structures of q de Rham cohomology.
