(Online Seminar) The n-Laplacian Equation and Its Geometric Applications

ABSTRACT
The p-Laplacian equations are important in PDEs. We are interested in the case p=n, the dimension of the space. We found that n-Laplacian equation is related to Ricci curvature, so that it can be used to describe the end structure of Riemannian manifolds, especially in locally conformally flat case. For this we will discuss the isolated singularities of n-Laplacian equations. And we will also discuss the generalizations of Huber’s theory in higher dimensions. The main tool we need is nonlinear potential theory. This is joint work with Professor Jie Qing.
BRIEF BIO
Dr. Shiguang Ma is currently an associate professor at Nankai University. He received his Ph.D in Mathematics from Peking University in 2011 under the supervision of Professor Gang Tian. His research focuses on geometric analysis.
