From the work of Fefferman and Graham, particularly renewed by the recent development in the quantum theory of gravity in theoretic physics, PDE and analysis on asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds have become the focus of much development in conformal geometry. The central issues are existence and compactness of conformally compact Einstein metrics. In this set of seminars we will have speakers report their recent researches and a number of interesting papers in this extremely active research field.
