Abstract
I start my lecture with a review of the elementary aspects of (real) multiple zeta values. I explain my construction of the p-adic analog of multiple zeta values using Coleman's p-adic integration and exhibit many basic properties of p-adic multiple zeta values. The p-adic KZ associator, the regularised holonomy of p-adic KZ-equation, which is a generating function of p-adic multiple zeta values, is introduced. By discussing its tannakian interpretation, I show how Deligne's version of p-adic multiple zeta values is related to mine. The final part of my lecture is on the analytic aspects of (both complex and p-adic) multiple zeta functions. I explain the construction of p-adic multiple L-functions and discuss close connections between complex multiple zeta functions and p-adic multiple L-functions.
