Abstract: This is an introduction course for Diophantine approximation. The topics include a proof of Roth's theorem, Siegel's theorem on integral points, and Vojta's proof of the Mordell conjecture. Pre-requisites of this course series includes algebraic number theory, algebraic geometry, and Mordell-Weil theorem for abelian varieties.
