Local Times and Capacity for Random Walks
Speaker(s): Bruno Schapira (University of Aix-Marseille)
Time: 15:30-18:30 November 6, 2020
Venue: Room 77201, Jingchunyuan 78, BICMR
I will present some recent result obtained with Amine Asselah, concerning some large deviations events for the local times of a transient Simple Random Walk on the Euclidean Lattice. We will see in particular that the notion of Capacity plays a crucial role here. These results have applications for the questions of large and moderate deviations for the volume of the range, and the intersection of two ranges. If time permits, I will explain the link with the former. The latter will be the object of the seminar talk on Monday Nov. 09, 2--3pm, in School of Mathematical Sciences. More information of the seminar can be found at: http://bicmr.pku.edu.cn/~xinyili/probseminar.htm.
