Abstract: The ADKMV program on local B-model is based on some Ward-type indentities. In this program, W-algebra constraints and integrable structures appear natually as a result of the geometric symmetries of the background Calabi-Yau spaces. In particular, the cut-and-join equation for the topological vertex admits a transparent interpretation in this setting. In this lecture, we will give an introduction to the basic idea and some recent development of the ADKMV program.
