Announcement: Starting from this semester, we are going to have a joint seminar of Peking University and Tsinghua University. The purpose of this seminar is to give series of talks on Mathematical Physics, Symplectic Geometry, and Related Topics. Most of these talks will be aimed at learning certain topics of commom interests for faculty and graduate students participating the seminar. The seminar will be held once in every two weeks, and will be held in turn at Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research and the Department of Mathematics of Tsinghua University. We will begin with the following topics: Mathematical introduction to quantum field theory, Givental’s formalism, Virasoro constraints, integrable systems related to Gromov-Witten theory, etc. Further topics will be chosen based on interests of participants. Talks of this seminar will also be posted on http://www.math.pku.edu.cn/teachers/liuxb/seminar_joint.html
