Title: Conifold transitions between Calabi-Yau threefolds

Abstract：In this talk, I will give a survey on the conifold transitions between Calabi-Yau threefolds. The main examples are anti-canonical hypersurfaces in Fano toric 4-folds. I will focus on the methods for finding isolated lower degree rational curves in these threefolds.
