Abstract:

We propose a method to desingularize Poisson structures that admit transverse Poisson structures of semisimple compact type. Our construction uses E-symplectic manifolds to model the desingularized geometry and reveals unexpected connections with cosymplectic structures. This is joint work with Ryszard Nest.
