Abstract: I will first review some concrete realizations of BPS algebras in various physics setups, such as cohomological Hall algebras and quiver Yangians. I will then explain some more recent results on BPS algebras in 4D N=2 theories and how to use them to reproduce the Schur indices and categorify the line defects of the theories.
