Bourgeois contact manifolds is a curious construction of higher dimensional contact manifolds which exhibits amazing properties. I first will explain, the joint work with Bowden, Gironella and Moreno on constructions of contact spheres without fillings from Bourgeois contact manifolds, which then implies ubiquity of tight not strongly fillable contact manifolds. Then I will explain the joint work with Avdek that Bourgeois contact manifolds are always tight, confirming the conjecture of Lisi- Marinkovic- Niederkruger and Bowden-Gironella-Moreno.
