Abstract: The meromorphic quadratic differentials on compact Riemann surface could be realized as stability conditions on some triangulated categories. In this talk, I will introduce some basic properties of meromorphic quadratic differentials with higher order poles. Based on the wall-chamber structure of the moduli space of meromorphic quadratic differentials, I will introduce some results about the fundamental group of the moduli spaces and some progresses in the joint work with A. King and Q. Yu.
