Rabinowitz action functional is a Lagrange multiplier functional which detects periodic orbits of fixed energy of arbitrary period. Rabinowitz Floer homology is the semi infinite dimensional Morse homology associated to Rabinowitz action functional. In the talk I will explain how to define this homology, how to compute it in some examples as well as its relations to leafwise intersection points and Mane's critical value.
