Abstract. Inspired by mirror symmetry, we propose to study a quantum theory of deformation of complex structures on the mirror of Gromov-Witten like theories. This means the following two things: (1) Enlarge the ordinary moduli space to incorporate gravitational descendants; (2) Quantize this enlarged moduli space to include quantum corrections in higher genera. We will explain these by going through some examples of plane algebraic curves, the Airy curve that encodes all information about the Witten-Knotsevich tau-functions.
