The reaction-diffusion equation is used in modeling combustive processes, chemical kinetics and population dynamics. We study long time dynamics of solutions to these equations in random environments. One expects that under reasonable hypotheses, the large scale dynamics is almost surely governed by a homogeneous Hamilton-Jacobi equation. We give the first proof of this phenomenon in the general non-isotropic multidimensional setting for both time-independent and time-dependent reactions. For the later case, an important ingredient is a new subadditive ergodic theorem. This talk is based on joint works with Andrej Zlatoš.
