In this talk, we will study the asymptotic behavior of the linear solution of the massless Dirac equation in Minkowski spacetime via the commuting vector field method. It is proved that the solutions decay in a sharp rate and enjoy the so-called peeling properties. Based on this decay mechanism, we also prove the small data global existence result for a class of nonlinear Dirac models.
