Most of the talks should be 1 hour. But the speaker might extend it to 1.5 hour or 2 hours.
Abstract: the p-adic langlands correspondence for GL2(Qp) relates 2-dimensional p-adic representations of the galois group of Qp to certain p-adic banach space representations of GL2(Qp). similarly the mod p langlands correspondence relates representations of these two groups over a field of characteristic p. one hopes that there is a generalisation of these correspondences to GLn(Qp), n > 2, but so far not too much is known. the purpose of these talks is to make speculations on some rough features of such a correspondence (especially, but not only, in the mod p case) and to give some evidence using global methods. this is joint work with Christophe Breuil and Benjamin Schraen.
