The square matrix or a linear self-map is a fundamental subject in linear algebra. In algebraic geometry, the analog object is the endomorphism of a projective variety. In linear algebra, we have the so-called invariant subspaces so that we can decompose the space and the matrix into direct sums. In algebraic geometry, our naive dream is to decompose the projective variety and the endomorphism into fibre products. In this talk, we shall see how the illusion bubbles are broken and fixed.
