Abstract: Floer Cohomology groups are important tools that are used to study many geometric and dynamical problems in symplectic geometry. However it is difficult to compute these groups in general. Conjecturally, there should be a connection between Floer Cohomology groups associated to varieties and the space of holomorphic disks mapping to them (also known as their arc space). We will illustrate this idea by computing Floer groups associated with isolated hypersurface singularities and, if there is time, general isolated singularities.
