摘要: Contrary to the general feelings of experts, new families of almost-complex homogeneous manifolds have been found recently (by K.H. Lee), these manifolds are complete Kobayashi hyperbolic, and so it is related in spirit to the classical Cartan`s bounded symmetric domains. I would like to give an introduction to their construction and furthermore to discuss a differential geometric study of this family of examples, recently done by Y.J. Choi. (Note: Both Lee and Choi completed these papers as part of their Ph. D. thesis under my supervision at POSTECH.)
