Abstract:
Symplectic singularities represent a research area at the intersection of algebraic geometry and symplectic geometry, which has also attracted significant attention in fields such as geometric representation theory and mathematical physics. I will briefly introduce some relevant background knowledge and recent progress made by Jie Liu and myself in constructing symplectic singularities using cotangent bundles.

Fu Baohua received his bachelor's degree from Peking University and then went to France for further study. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Nice, France, in 2003, and subsequently worked at the CNRS in France for several years. He is currently a research professor at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research interests lie in algebraic geometry, and he has done a series of works in areas such as symplectic singularities and their symplectic resolutions, and the classification of Fano varieties with group actions.
