Hodge-Riemann Polynomials and Log-Concave Sequences

Abstract:
Hodge-Riemann relations are a rich source of log-concave sequences. For example, Alexandrov's inequality for mixed discriminants and the Alexandrov-Fenchel inequality for convex bodies can both be deduced from Hodge-Riemann relations. After reviewing the classical theory, I will present recent extensions of Hodge-Riemann relations to ample vector bundles and an application to the log-concavity of the derivative sequence of Schur polynomials. This talk is partially based on joint work with Qing Lu.
报告人简介:
郑维喆是中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员,主要从事代数几何研究。他于清华大学获得学士学位,后赴法国南巴黎大学攻读硕士与博士学位。2008年至2012年在美国哥伦比亚大学担任Ritt助理教授,2012年回国后加入中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院任研究员。其研究方向涵盖平展上同调及其应用。他于2021年获得国家杰出青年科学基金资助;2025年获中国科学院青年科学家奖。
