The Brunn–Minkowski inequality is one of the most fundamental results in geometry. It states that the volume functional is logarithmically concave with respect to Minkowski addition. In this talk, I will introduce this topic and discuss some of its interesting applications and recent developments.

陈世炳教授，中国科学技术大学数学系教授、博士生导师，于2005年和2008年在北京大学分别获得学士学位和硕士学位，2013年于多伦多大学数学系获得博士学位。先后在美国国家数学科学研究所、澳大利亚国立大学数学科学研究院从事博士后研究。2022年获得国家杰出青年科学基金。长期致力于Monge-Ampere（蒙日安培）方程及其在最优传输和几何中的应用，在Ann. of Math., Invent. Math., CPAM等杂志发表论文多篇。
