The Brunn–Minkowski Inequality and Its Recent Extensions

The Brunn–Minkowski inequality is one of the most fundamental results in geometry. It states that the volume functional is logarithmically concave with respect to Minkowski addition. In this talk, I will introduce this topic and discuss some of its interesting applications and recent developments.

陈世炳教授,中国科学技术大学数学系教授、博士生导师,于2005年和2008年在北京大学分别获得学士学位和硕士学位,2013年于多伦多大学数学系获得博士学位。先后在美国国家数学科学研究所、澳大利亚国立大学数学科学研究院从事博士后研究。2022年获得国家杰出青年科学基金。长期致力于Monge-Ampere(蒙日安培)方程及其在最优传输和几何中的应用,在Ann. of Math., Invent. Math., CPAM等杂志发表论文多篇。
