Abstract: Birational geometry is one of the major branches of algebraic geometry. This talk will use the classic problem of the integrability of holomorphic functions as a starting point to introduce the latest research progress and future directions in the field of birational geometry. The interdisciplinary studies between birational geometry and areas such as differential geometry, differential equations, and dynamical systems, and the new perspectives and research avenues they bring will the emphasized in the talk.

报告人：刘济豪，北京大学数学科学学院研究员。2021年获得美国犹他大学博士学位，师从数学突破奖得主Christopher D. Hacon院士。2021年9月至2024年8月任美国西北大学助理教授，2024年9月入职北京大学。刘济豪的研究领域是代数几何，在极小模型纲领、低维簇的精细几何、叶层化的双有理几何等前沿问题中取得了一定的成果。证明了多个由菲尔兹奖得主C. Birkar、美国国家科学院院士J. Kollár、柯尔奖得主许晨阳等国际顶尖学者提出的猜想和问题。在Cambridge Math. J.,  Adv. Math., Geom. Topol., Peking Math. J. ,Trans. AMS等期刊发表、录用二十余篇文章。
