Abstract: We shall review some recent works on the regularization of pseudo-automorphisms of projective threefolds.
Bio-Sketch: Professor Charles Favre is a director of National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) works at École polytechnique. He admitted to the École normal supérieure in 1993 and received his Ph.D in mathematics from University of Paris XI in 2000. His research focus on algebraic and arithmetic dynamics, complex and non-archimedean geometry and dynamics. Professor Charles Favre has published extensively in top journals as Annals of Math., J.Amer.Math.Soc., Invent.Math, etc and two research monographs. With Mattias Jonsson, they invented the theory of valuation trees. This theory greatly promoted the development of algebraic dynamics and the study of singularities of pluriharmonic functions in dimension two. In addition to that, he also made significant contributions to the studies of dynamical degrees, the dynamical André-Oort conjecture, the non-archimedean Monge-Ampère equation, ect. He has received the Prix Langevin de l’Académie des sciences (2009).
