Abstract: Recurrence is a basic notion in dynamical systems. In this talk the result (joint with Glasner-Huang-Shao-Weiss) on the existence of multiply recurrent points with some given properties will be presented. Moreover, the very recent results (joint with Huang-Shao) on the recurrence properties concerning integral polynomials will be discussed. Both results are obtained by using the nilpotent structures and saturation theorems for minimal systems.

报告人简介：叶向东，中国科学院院士，中国科学技术大学教授，长期从事基础数学中拓扑动力系统、遍历理论及其应用的研究。他与合作者在动力系统的结构定理、多重遍历平均的收敛、熵的理论、动力系统的复杂性及其应用等方面进行了深入研究并得到了一系列深刻的结果。他先后担任中国科学技术大学理学院副院长兼数学系主任，党委副书记、副校长等职务。2013年获第十四届陈省身数学奖，2018年获国家自然科学二等奖，2019年当选为中国科学院院士，2020年担任中俄数学中心副主任，同年获得何梁何利科学与技术进步奖，2022年11月当选为发展中国家科学院院士。
