[Distinguished Lecture] Liouville type problems in the regularity theory for the Navier-Stokes equations
Speaker(s): Prof. Gregory Seregin (Oxford University and St Petersburg Department of V. A. Steklov Mathematical Institute)
Time: 14:00-15:00 April 12, 2018
Venue: Room 77201, Jingchunyuan 78, BICMR
Abstract:
In the talk, Liouville type problems, coming from rescaling the Navier-Stokes equations around a potential singularity, will be stated. Connection between Liouville type theorems and Type I blowups of solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations will be discussed.
Introduction of the speaker:
Professor Gregory Seregin was an invited speaker at ICM 2010. He was awarded with Humboldt Research Award in 2002 and Kowalevskaya Prize of Russian Academy in 2003 for his work on incompressible Navier Stokes equation.
