[Distinguished Lecture] Rigid complex local systems, integrality and $F$-isocrystals
Speaker(s): Hélène Esnault (Free University of Berlin)
Time: 14:00-15:00 December 11, 2017
Venue: Room 77201, Jingchunyuan 78, BICMR
Abstract:
We prove that the monodromy of a cohomologically rigid integrable connection on a smooth complex projective variety is integral. This answers positively a special case of a conjecture by Carlos Simpson. To this aim, we use $F$-isocrystals and $\ell$-adic companions. Joint with Michael Groechenig.
