[Progress in Mathematics] Recent developments in one-dimensional dynamics
Speaker(s): Professor Weixiao Shen(Fudan University)
Time: 10:30-11:30 May 19, 2016
Venue: Room 77201,Jingchunyuan 78,BICMR
Introduction of the speaker: Weixiao Shen is now a professor of Shanghai Center for Mathematical Sciences. His research focuses on the one dimensional real and complex dynamical system. Together with his collaborators, they have made breakthroughs on the questions about the density, attractor and existence of invariant measures etc. In particular, they solve the famous Fatou conjecture in one dimensional real dynamical system. He has already published 8 papers on the top journals including Annals and Inventiones. He is an invited speaker in 2014 ICM and awarded the Shiing-Shen Chern prize.
Abstract: I will introduce some of key problems in one-dimensional dynamics, centered around stability, together with some of the ideas and techniques in attacking these problems.I will introduce some of key problems in one-dimensional dynamics, centered around stability, together with some of the ideas and techniques in attacking these problems.
