Abstract: An introduction to Hodge theory: elliptic curves, Riemann surfaces, algebraic surfaces, hypersurfaces of arbitrary dimension. Introduction to the Griffiths residue calculus, the period map, and period domains. Discussion of variation of Hodge structure and the Hodge conjecture.
