Workshop on Emerton-Gee Stack

The workshop series focuses on the recent work of Emerton and Gee, who constructed a formal algebraic stack of p-adic Galois representations for a finite extension of Qp. This concept is an algebra version of the formal deformation space introduced by Mazur. The construction of Emerton--Gee has immediate applications to topics such as crystalline lifting of Galois representations, and Serre weight conjectures.

The first one-day workshop aims to give an introduction, to explain a few key features of the Emerton--Gee stacks, and to discuss several potential applications. We hope the workshop brings this interesting theory to researchers in related area, and explore possible new projects and collaborations. This one-day workshop consists of three introductory lectures.

Title: Introduction to Breuil--Kisin modules

Abstract: I will introduce Breuil--Kisin modules, which shares several important features with the (phi, Gamma)-modules, describing the local Galois representations, yet preserving good integrality properties.

Title: Introduction to Breuil--Kisin--Fargues modules.

Abstract: I will introduce Breuil--Kisin--Fargues modules, which are used as an essential ingredient in the construction of Emerton--Gee stack.

Speaker: Liang Xiao (Peking University)

Title: Introduction to Emerton--Gee stack.

Abstract: I will give a quick introduction to Emerton--Gee stack, explaining its key features, and discuss several applications.
