In and around Topological Physics
Time: July 15 - July 20, 2019
Venue: BICMR
Description
The conference topic is in and around topological physics interpreted in a very liberal way. The application of topology, classical or quantum, has become a central theme in contemporary physics, analogous to the application of topology in differential geometry. Spectacular progress has been made in our understanding of topological phases, including topological insulators, topological superconductors, and fractional quantum Hall states. The goal of the conference is to bring leading experts to develop a mathematical understanding of topological physics and explore its ramifications in areas such as SYK models of black holes, conformal field theories, fracton models, and (2+1)-quantum gravity.
