ABSTRACT: 

L2 Alexander torsions have been introduced as hybrid of twisted Alexander polynomials and L2 torsions. For 3-manifolds such invariants are particularly accessible thanks to available virtual properties in this context. In the coming talk, I will survey on some known results on L2 Alexander torsions for 3-manifolds and discuss possible directions for further study.
