MATH 361:   Advanced Calculus II

The Course

This course is a continuation of Math 360, Advanced Calculus I. Typically in Advanced Calclus II, we will cover the multivariable calculus , including differential mapppings, the inverse and implicit fucntion theorems, integration in higher dimensional space, fundamental theorm of calculus, Lebesgue measure, Fubini's theorem, change of variables formula and Fourier analysis.

Text: Elementary Classical Analysis, 2nd edition, by J. E. Marsden and M. J. Hoffman.

We will use canvas to upload grades, post homework, make announcements, and share course notes. "https://canvas.upenn.edu/"

Grading Policy

Your grade for the course will be determined based on the following factors:

The 1st Midterm Exam : 25%
The 2nd Midterm Exam : 25%
Final Exam: 30%
Homework and Lab: 20%


Exams

The 1st Midterm : In class, Feb. 13.

The 2nd Midterm: In class, Mar. 27.

Final Exam : TBA


Homework

Homework will be assigned weakly and due at the lecture the following Thursday. Late homework will not be accepted but the lowest homework score will be dropped.

Feb. 13, First Midterm Exam

Feb. 16, Drop Period ends.

Mar. 3-11, No Class (Spring break).

Mar. 27, Second Midterm exam.

Mar. 30, Last day to withdraw from a course.

Apr. 24, Last day of classes of this course.

Apr. 26-27, Reading days.
